1 / 12I bought 91 K5 in January of 2021 during covid for $800. Im a high school auto teacher. I decided to bring it in to work to restore it in February of 2022. My students got to learn how vehicles are built, how electrical systems work, and how everything operates. I taught them welding, fabricating, how to deal with agrivation, and how to think outside the box.
The truck was such a rust bucket that we stripped and cut it down to just the cab without floors or rockers, even the bed sides and tailpan had to go. About 5.5 years and over $15k later, we have a finished K5!
